Ghost Browser Version 2.4 Released

Ghost Browser Version 2.4

We’re excited to announce that we have released our Ghost Browser version 2.4 update today. In this update, the browser has been updated to Chromium core version 129! This update brings key improvements in performance, security, and compatibility, providing a more seamless browsing experience across all of your Web 2.0 and Web3 multi-accounting work.

HOTFIX UPDATE: 2.4.0.0 had a bug that caused some sites to be logged out when closing and re-opening the browser. We released a hotfix to address this a few hours after it was reported. Please make sure you are on 2.4.0.1 to avoid this issue.

Some users had previously encountered issues with certain websites, such as banking sites and Cloudflare-protected services. These issues should now be resolved with the update. If you continue to experience any problems, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team—we’re here to help.

Additionally, if you had made changes to your user-agent (UA) strings in any Identities to work around these issues, you may want to consider removing those custom UA strings if you no longer have a specific reason to use them. The default settings should now work correctly.

Additionally, some users have recently experienced issues sending browser reports through the “Report an Issue” interface. We have found the cause of and fixed that issue as well so if you need to send a report through the browser, you can now do it with confidence.

What’s Next?

While there are no significant changes to the look or feel of Ghost Browser from this particular update, it does lay the foundation in the browser internals for an exciting upcoming feature: dark mode! This has been one of our most requested features, and we’re looking forward to sharing more details soon.

Thank you for using Ghost Browser!
